SOFFIT INSTALLATION
Soffit is a component of the roofing eave that covers the underside of the roof overhang or exterior ceiling. Whenever a roof hangs over an exterior wall, the underside of the roof is typically covered to prevent moisture, wind, and pests from getting into the attic. Together fascia boards and soffit cap off and seal the open ends of the roofing eave, making it an enclosed system.

Vented (Perforated)

Vinyl soffit panels are designed so that each section hooks and clips onto the next section. The panels are slid into tracks called “F Channel” and then tucked into the fascia metal.
PVC (AZEK) SOFFIT BOARD

The modernized equivalent for plywood soffit replacement is PVC soffit boards, such as Azek, instead of natural wood.
Within the past few years, PVC materials have started to come down in prices so that they are comparable to the price of wood materials. Typically for only 20%-30% more you can choose PVC materials that are rated to last 100+ years, instead of wood which may only last 1/3 as long.
PLYWOOD SOFFIT

Plywood soffit is soffit that is made constructed from plywood that is 1/4″ – 1/2″ thick, and is more common on homes over 20 years old. For all natural wood installations we include one coat of primer and 1-2 coats of white semi-gloss exterior paint. (we only provide white exterior paint, any other color will need to be provided by the customer before the scheduled service date.)
In most situations we are able to replace damaged or rotted plywood soffit sections. Quotes will be reviewed and priced on a case by case basis.
