TYPES OF ESTIMATES

Some estimates are able to be provided simply off of the customers details or photos. Whereas other situations may require an in-person consolation visit, or possibly a gutter system diagnostic inspection. All estimates with My Gutter Doctor are free unless setting up ladders is required.

-ESTIMATE IS PROVIDED FROM ONLINE PHOTOS

In most situations we are able to use photos available online to gather measurements and provide a quote. Gutter cleanings, gutter installations, and gutter guard installations are examples of quote types that we are typically able to provide using online images.

-MEASUREMENT VISIT

Measurement visits are for when a My Gutter Doctor technician stops by the property to gather measurements, take photos, gather the accessories count, confirm gutter color and/or size, or to gather any other details regarding the quote. During these visits the technician may examine the gutter system for apparent issues.

-IN PERSON CONSULTATION VISIT

In-person consultation visits are to discuss potential gutter repairs or installation projects with the homeowner. These are great for when the homeowner has witnessed the issues firsthand and would like to point out the locations. Or when the homeowner would like to discuss potential gutter installation or gutter cover installation projects in person.

-WOOD REPAIR ESTIMATE

Most wood repair services will require an in person estimate visit by a technician before we are able to provide a quote. In most situations we need to examine the extent of the damages, confirm the size and widths of the boards, and gather necessary measurements.

Keep in mind that fascia board quotes are only able to be provided by what we can visually see from the ground. There is always the potential for more damaged fascia boards, soffit, or roof rafters once the gutters and/or fascia boards are removed.

-GUTTER SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC INSPECTION

A diagnostic inspection visit is when the homeowner needs a technician to examine the gutter system, typically from ladders, to determine what is causing the issue(s). A minimum service fee is applied to diagnostic inspections to cover the labor costs.

Keep in mind that a gutter system inspection is included for free with a standard gutter cleaning service. Therefore, if your gutters haven’t been serviced in a few seasons then you may want to consider going with a gutter cleaning service to save money on the diagnostics fee.

We called for some regular cleaning/maintenance and were very pleased with it. They're a veteran and first- responder owned business which is nice to be able to support. They responded quickly to my inquiry and got me an estimate promptly. Once they were here I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to work quickly and still be so thorough. They were professional, and seemed knowledgeable. They found a section that wasn't secured properly- they performed a minor fix that if they hadn't bothered with, could have built into a bigger issue. They provided a report with photos and I was able to review and make payment online. There are several ways to pay but he aware there is a (pretty standard) 3 percent fees on payments via credit card. Plus the tech was really nice. Would definitely recommend and will use them again. Side note: The only "issue" I had was that the scheduled block of time for the appointment estimate shifted from the first part of the day to the last part of the day, which would have been an issue for someone who planned to take off work and made arrangements. They can do work when you're not home so it's not a big problem, but for people who prefer to be home when you have a work crew on your property, it's not ideal. I think it would be best to call people for that significant of a time shift. I did, however, receive automated communications to notify me and also understand that routes and schedules do change so this is more of an observation to be aware of than an actual complaint.

Initially arranged for just a gutter cleaning and repair, then after observing how steep the roof is they explained that what we were planning would only make the problem of water flowing over and past the gutters and directly onto the windows would only be made worse by the planned project due to the water being further deflected by the leaf guards planned to be installed. They provided an alternative proposal for an upgraded larger system within the hour and scheduled the project for the following day. Installation of the 6-inch wide gutters went smoothly, with the whole crew working carefully and meticulously to cut pieces to the proper length and install firmly. The downspout installation also was well done, with firmly attached fittings into our drain guides on the ground. This group is a class act.

Every point of contact from start to finish was great! Just by sending some photos of the damage I got same day estimates for a repair as well as some replacement options. Had to have a downspout replaced. Very prompt & easy to work with. I made a call, someone stopped by to check my problem, sent me an estimate. Made time & date for repair. A pleasant young man showed up on time & date designated for the "job", and in a short amount of time, my faulty downspout was replaced - better than original! The young man who did the job was very professional and helpful in answering my questions/concerns. The price seemed reasonable (including "parts"). Clean up - no problem. Not that great, while the professional cleaned my gutter, the recent rain showed that my gutter is still not clean enough and is still flooding my garage and not directed towards the downspout. Update: changing my review from 2 stars to 5 stars. My Gutter Doctor was extremely responsive. After my initial review, the owner reached out to me and sent a foreman out to check out the problem. Shawn, the foreman, took the gutter helmet off, cleaned the gutters again and refunded my payment.
