Why Homeowners Choose Gutter Cleaning Memberships
Avoid Long Wait Times During Peak Season
Gutter cleaning appointments can book out weeks in advance during the busiest times of the year. Membership customers receive recurring reserved service dates to help ensure their gutters are cleaned on time each season.
Help Prevent Costly Water Damage
Routine gutter maintenance helps prevent clogged gutters, overflowing water, drainage issues, foundation problems, and premature wear to the gutter system.
Extend the Life of Your Gutter System
Properly maintained gutters typically last longer and perform better than neglected systems. Regular cleanings help reduce excess weight, standing water, rust, and long-term deterioration.
Simplify Your Ongoing Gutter Maintenance
No more remembering to schedule gutter cleanings year after year. Once your membership is set up, your recurring services stay on schedule automatically.
Better Protection & Built-In Savings
Membership customers receive discounted recurring service rates, clog-free guarantees, inspection reports, and locked-in pricing options for added long-term value.
How Memberships Work
1. Choose Your Membership
Select the service frequency and level of protection that best fits your home and gutter maintenance needs.
2. Select Your Billing Option
Choose annual prepayment or convenient recurring monthly, quarterly, or biannual billing options. All memberships require a valid payment method to be securely saved on file for automatic payments.
3. Reserve Your Recurring Service Dates
Your recurring services are scheduled in advance to help avoid long wait times during peak gutter cleaning season.
4. Enjoy Ongoing Gutter Protection
We’ll return automatically throughout the year to help keep your gutters flowing properly and your home protected. Memberships automatically renew and services continue on schedule unless cancelled or modified by the customer. Payment schedules remain active unless updated by the customer.
12 Month Membership Term
New memberships begin with a 12 month agreed upon service term at the membership pricing selected at enrollment. After the initial 12 month term is completed, the membership may be canceled at any time.
If a membership is canceled before completing the initial 12 month term, discounted services already completed will be adjusted to the applicable one-time cleaning rate, and the remaining difference will become due.
Peak Fall Season Availability
The busiest time of year for gutter cleaning is the short window between the majority of leaves falling and freezing winter temperatures. Depending on weather conditions, this peak season may only last 5–6 weeks, while thousands of homeowners are trying to schedule service during the same period.
To ensure our recurring members have access to service during this high demand window, select late-November and early-December service periods are reserved for membership customers only. Pro and Premier Members receive our highest level of peak season scheduling priority, including access to our most requested service dates.
Reserved dates are not required service dates. Pro and Premier members may select any available service period that better fits their property, tree coverage, or preferred cleaning schedule. Base members may also select from available service periods throughout the season, excluding dates specifically reserved for Pro and Premier members.

Important Update For Existing Annual Service Plan Customers
If you are currently enrolled in one of our Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, or Diamond Annual Service Plans, your existing plan and pricing will remain in place through the end of 2026. All remaining 2026 services will occur as scheduled, and there is nothing you need to do at this time.
Beginning in 2027, these previous plans will be retired as we transition existing customers into our new recurring membership program. Your cleanings can still be automatically scheduled during your preferred times of the year, but there are several important differences with the new memberships:
Recurring Payments – Membership payments will now be automatically processed on a recurring schedule using a saved payment method.
2 Cleanings Per Year Minimum – Two cleanings per year is the minimum to receive discounted pricing and have services set to automatically recur.
Water Flushing –Our Pro (3x/year) and Premier (4x/year) Memberships include water flushing with each cleaning when temperatures allow.
Priority Scheduling – Pro and Premier Members receive our highest scheduling priority during peak fall season, with reserved availability during our most requested late-November and early-December service periods.
Extended Clog Free Guarantees –Membership levels include longer clog-free coverage following each cleaning.
Price Lock Guarantees – Memberships include extended price protection based on the membership level selected.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP F.A.Q.’S
How is payment handled?
Membership customers may choose to pay annually upfront or select recurring monthly, quarterly, or biannual billing options, depending on the membership plan selected.
For recurring billing, a valid payment method must be securely saved on file through the customer portal. Payments are automatically processed on the same calendar day as the initial membership payment according to the selected billing frequency. For example, if your first payment is processed on September 11th, future payments will also be processed on the 11th of the applicable billing months.
Recurring payments will continue automatically for the duration of the membership. After the initial 12 month agreed upon term, the membership and recurring billing will continue automatically until canceled.
How is scheduling handled?
When you enroll in a membership, we will contact you to schedule your initial gutter cleaning or add it to our next available service date. This initial cleaning is typically a one off starting service and does not have to repeat at that time going forward.
Customers are welcome to customize their recurring service months based on their tree coverage. If no scheduling preferences are provided, the membership will automatically follow our recommended schedule based on the selected service frequency:
- Base Membership (2x/year): June & December
- Pro Membership (3x/year): April, August & December
- Premier Membership (4x/year): March, June, September & December
Once your recurring schedule is established, the services will repeat automatically. Customers receive an initial reminder approximately two weeks before every service date, followed by 7-day, 3-day, and 1-day email reminders, plus a text reminder the day before service. If a scheduled date does not work, customers may contact us to reschedule as needed.
During peak fall season, scheduling priority is based on membership level. Pro and Premier members receive access to our most requested reserved late-November and early-December service dates. Reserved dates are not required service dates, and members may select other available service periods based on their membership level and preferred schedule.
How many gutter cleaning services are recommended per year?
Most homes with nearby trees typically require at least 2 gutter cleaning services per year — usually one service in the spring and one in late fall after the leaves have dropped before winter weather arrives.
Homes with excessive tree coverage or large trees close to the home may require 3 or 4 services per year depending on the tree type, size, and proximity to the gutter system.
For most homeowners, we recommend beginning with a biannual membership and adjusting the service frequency over time if needed.
Can I cancel my gutter cleaning membership at any time?
All new memberships include an initial 12 month agreed upon service term. By enrolling, you are agreeing to complete the scheduled cleanings included in your selected membership during that initial term. After the first 12 months have been completed, you may cancel your membership at any time. Memberships and scheduled services will continue to automatically renew and repeat until canceled or terminated due to nonpayment.
If the membership is canceled for any reason before the initial term is completed, any membership discounts applied to services already completed will be reversed. Completed cleanings will be recalculated at the applicable one-time cleaning rate, and you will be responsible only for the difference between the membership price already paid and the applicable one-time service price.
This policy applies to cancellations during the initial membership term, including customer-requested cancellations, relocation, nonpayment, or other circumstances that prevent completion of the agreed-upon term.
What if I am already enrolled in a Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, or Diamond Annual Service Plan?
Existing Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, and Diamond Annual Service Plan customers will remain on their current plan structure and pricing through the end of 2026. All remaining 2026 services will occur as scheduled, and no action is required at this time.
Beginning in 2027, these previous Annual Service Plans will be retired as existing customers transition to our new recurring membership options. Two cleanings per year is the new minimum to receive discounted recurring pricing and have services set to automatically recur. Customers who prefer one cleaning per year may continue scheduling one-time cleanings as needed, but these services will no longer automatically recur or receive membership discounts.
We will contact existing Annual Service Plan customers in early 2027 with additional information and available membership options. Previous Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, and Diamond plans are no longer available for new enrollment.
Does somebody need to be home for the services to take place?
No. Homeowners are not required to be present for gutter cleaning services to take place as long as our technicians have safe access to the work areas around the home.
Customers will receive reminder emails and text notifications leading up to the service date, along with notifications when our technicians are on the way and when the service has been completed. After the service, an invoice and service report with job photos will typically be emailed to the customer for review.
If any issues, damages, or recommended repairs are found during the service, our technicians will document them in the service report and may also leave a door hanger notification at the home if nobody is present during the appointment.
Are reminders sent before the services are to take place?
Yes. Service reminder emails are typically sent 14 days, 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day prior to each scheduled service, along with a final text reminder the day before the service. Please note that technician routes are not fully finalized until approximately one week prior to the scheduled service date, so estimated arrival windows listed on the earlier reminder emails may still change.
Customers will additionally receive notifications when our technicians are on the way and when the service has been completed, helping keep you updated throughout the entire service process even if you are not home at the time of service.
When does My Gutter Doctor recommend the cleanings take place?
Our office staff will help recommend the best service schedule for your home based on the types of trees around the property, the amount of debris buildup, and your gutter system’s maintenance needs. As your recurring services begin, our technicians may also recommend adjustments over time to help keep your gutter cleaning schedule as efficient and effective as possible.
Common Recurring Gutter Cleaning Schedules
Biannual Membership (2 Services Per Year)
- Late Spring & Late Fall (Most Common Recommendation)
- Double Fall Cleanings for Heavy Leaf Areas
- Early Spring & Late Fall
Pro Membership (3 Services Per Year)
- Seasonal Cleanings (Spring / Summer / Fall)
- Double Spring Schedules
- Double Fall Schedules
Premier Membership (4 Services Per Year)
- Quarterly Cleanings (Most Comprehensive Protection)
- Double Spring Schedules
- Double Fall Schedules
- Triple Fall Schedules for Heavy Tree Coverage
Service timing may vary depending on tree type, surrounding tree coverage, weather conditions, and the amount of debris your gutter system collects throughout the year.
Will the annual cleanings repeat automatically around the same dates going forward?
Yes. Once your recurring service schedule is established, your gutter cleaning services will automatically continue around the same timeframes each year based on your selected membership schedule. This helps ensure your gutter system is cleaned during the most effective times of the year for your property and surrounding tree coverage.
As each season approaches, our office staff may make minor scheduling adjustments based on weather conditions, route efficiency, technician availability, or changing debris conditions. Customers will continue receiving reminder emails and text notifications leading up to each scheduled service date.
What if there are issues found with my gutter system?
If repairs, damages, or problem areas are found during the gutter cleaning service, the technician will document them in the service report and notify the customer upon completion of the service. In most cases, our technicians will also leave a door hanger with the appropriate box checked, such as “Minor Repair Issues Noted” or “Immediate Repair Issues Noted,” if nobody is home during the service.
Customers may also receive a follow-up email or call regarding any recommended repairs or concerns with the gutter system. Membership customers receive discounted rates on larger gutter repairs or additional recommended services if needed.
